Could anyone explain to me how to get the alarm to function properly? Preferably in plain english that a 10 year old could understand and not how the instructions describe it.

My use case is heating a circulation bath to 35ºc and keeping it steady for the duration of use.

The function for the alarm would be: A lighted rocker switch powers the unit. When power is turned on, the light stays on until the target temperature is reached. If the temperature deviates from the SV +-1º the light turns on to show an issue.

I have a jumper cable from the load in on terminal 8 running to terminal 14 to power a light from terminal 13 that acts as my alarm.

My settings on the unit are
ALM1: 36 | ALM2: 34 | Hy-1: 9999 | Hy-2: 0
Based on the instructions, I think this gives me an absolute alarm but I'm not positive.

With these settings the low alarm does not trigger currently. It did trigger once, after the machine was powered on for about 5 minutes and had reached 28º. The alarm then turned off after reaching 35.8º, adding to my confusion.

Adding that realistically: my preferred alarms would be 34.5º and 35.7º but the alarms only seem to work in whole units and I wanted to try the "easier" route first.

Thanks in advance.

ALM1: 36 | ALM2: 34 | Hy-1: 9999 | Hy-2: 9999 | Hy: 0.3

Absolute high alarm is 36.3 (ALM1 + Hy), absolute low alarm is 33.7 (ALM2 - Hy)

Hy-1 and Hy-2 are only used for deviation alarm, not absolute. Do not change them.

By default, alarm suppression is enabled, so low alarm will not be triggered if you initially heat up from ambient. If you don't want alarm suppression, change COOL to 0 (heating, no alarm suppression, C display)

"I have a jumper cable from the load in on terminal 8 running to terminal 14 to power a light from terminal 13 that acts as my alarm."

T13 is COM between AL1 and AL2 relays. This wiring above only works if you only use AL2 /absolute low alarm. If you want to use absolute high alarm, jump from T8 to T13 instead of T14.

Make sure there is no short in your wiring.
