When I set cool to 2 The out turns on and off regardless of SV being less then PV. SV Set to 6 and PV is showing room temperature of 21. The out comes on for just a second then goes off. It repeats sometime later. Before long I'm climbing past 30 degrees and the cycle continues. How do I stop this?

SYL-2352P is a ramp & soak controller. You cannot set SV directly, and you need to set the temperature in the program. Can you confirm your bottom display shows 6?

It looks like your PID settings are not optimized. Have you changed your PID settings, or have you run auto-tune before? You can try to set P, I and D parameter back to factory default, then run auto-tune at your target temperature again.

To be clearer.

Powering on controller with SV set well below room temperature and not running any program. The OUT output will cycle for just a brief moment. It does it so many times over and over the PV increases as the OUT is powering the SSR and turning the elements on and off.

I have not changed any of the default settings other then COOL set to 2

Can you please confirm you are using SYL-2352P? If you can set the temperature on this controller directly, this controller is SYL-2352, not SYL-2352P. You have to run a temperature & time profile for SYL-2352P. If you are not running any programs, the bottom display will flash "STOP", and there will be no output.

Based on your description, I will say most likely the controller's settings are bad (especially P, I and D settings). Please contact Auber customer service for help.
