PID Failure?

Hi Guys,

Not sure if anyone can help me out with this. I just need confirmation that my PID is dead.
It is a PID Retrofit KIT for Rancilio Silvia w/ pre-infusion.

I installed it way back in 2009. Recently when turning the machine on, the PID wouldn't power up - no lights on the display, buttons wouldn't work. I accidentally left the machine power on and noticed 3 days later that it eventually turned on and it was working as normal. Every time the machine was turned off, the same thing would happen - no PID power unless left on for days.

A visual inspection shows all cables still connected.

I persevered with this for a while, but then the machine started doing weird things - as if the brew button was stuck on. Now it is unusable.

It has had a good run - I totally understand that it is piece of electronics in a hot and steamy environment. I'm not expecting that it should last forever.
But is there anything else I can check or test to confirm that it has failed? I don't want to fork out for a new one if it could possibly be something else.

Thanks
Mark

It looks like your power supply is old/bad (hardware issue). You can contact Auber customer support . http://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=contact_us
