Problem installing PID in Rancilio Silvia

So installed a PID with preinfusion today, and the display shows EEEEE. This unit is pre 96, so usees the screw in sensor. I've restripped the sensor wire, to make sure there is no plastic on the terminals, and verified the sensor measures approximately 110 ohms. I've reset all the wires in the terminal block a few times now.

When I try the start button, it does seem to engage the pump, but no ready light or heater light is deisplayed, as the quick start in the manual suggests in the quick test section.

Any ideas on what I should examine next?

Thanks,

Jay Lorenzo

If you get a stable 110 Ohms for your screw RTD sensor, your sensor should be good.

Please make sure you connect the sensor lead to the pin 7 and 8 on the controller. Please remove the clear insulation at the end of the sensor cable, to make sure the metal lead touches the terminal. Then make sure there is a jumper between pin 6 and 7.

If your issue remains, please contact Auber support for help.
