Just opened my new gauge today and thought I would test it on my bench at work. I needed to use this as a cylinder head temp gauge so I purchased a ring TC for a 12mm plug on a website called the sensor connection. The gauge worked right away since it's set up out of the box for EGT which is basically same as CHT. I checked the alarm to see it function. But when I tried to calibrate I ran into a problem. I got a small glass of ice water and stuck my TC in. I found the reading to be about 5 degrees high. So I went thru the menus to see where I could calibrate, had a problem figuring out out to get -5 degree adjustment. I found I could change the first digit to a negative and the rest '005'. So -005. When I went back to check if it had adjusted the measurement correctly the display was 0. Now no matter what I do with the TC it's 0. I tried a different TC, still 0. I shorted out pins6 and 7, still 0. I pull out the tc I get EEEEE so it's sensing the TC connection.
Is there a fix for this? Honestly, I think the gauge is junk. The packaging it was shipped in was flimsy and it could have easily gotten damaged or hit pretty hard. Paper-bubble envelope, a thin paper box that had completely come apart and the bubble wrap bag that was in the box which the gauge had slipped out of because it wasn't taped in.

I've used Auber devices for several projects in the past and I've never had a problem with them not working. Hopefully there's a way to reset it.
