Title: 2342 for wood stove
Post by: Cbeecher on October 23, 2024, 07:27:43 PM
I've purchased a syl-2342 to control my wood stove fan but I'm clueless how to wire it. Currently the fan has 2 switches. One that's high/off/low and the other auto/manual. Ideally I'd like the pid to control it all. Go from off to low at a certain temp and then high at another temp. Is this something I could do with this?  Also the current fan is 120v and draws only .85amps. I've attached the current fan wiring schematic.

This controller can only send on/off power supply to your fan. You probably need to set your fan switches as "high" and "manual".

You can refer to the figure 9 wiring on page 7 of its manual.

The output in SYL-2342 is a dry contact, so it doesn't provide any voltage by itself. You need to jump a wire from the controller's 120V power input to its output, then use that output to drive your 120V fan.
