Title: Convert SYL-1615 to solar inverter fan use?
Post by: Skidplate on March 25, 2023, 02:38:51 PM
Greetings,

I have a SYL-1615 that works great at controlling a BBQ fan.

I would like to repurpose the controller to control some 12v fans I added externally to my solar inverter mounted in a hot garage.

Problem is I need the controller to work opposite of its design function. I need it to turn on the fans when the temp rises above a set point temperature and leave them on until the temp drops below the set point. Is this possible or do I need some circuit to hang on the output of the SYL-1615? TIA.

It is doable in SYL-1615.

Please go to menu 0089 and change parameter Rd to 1. It will reverse the output.
